Warranty & Returns Policy
Warranty Policy
All parts purchased from Bates Corporation (used, new, or rebuilt) are guaranteed to be free from defects for one year from the original date of purchase. Defective parts will be replaced, if available, or a full refund will be issued.
In making this purchase, both buyer and seller agree that neither Bates Corporation nor the manufacturer will be liable for any loss, damage, or injury, direct or indirect, arising from the use of or inability to use the product. This includes indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, such as loss of use, revenue, or profit.
Before using the product, the buyer or other users shall determine its suitability for the intended use and assume all responsibility and risk associated with that use.
This warranty is valid only for parts used under normal conditions and for their original intended purpose. Parts with modifications or used in extreme conditions, such as tractor pulling or construction, are not eligible for warranty replacement or refund.
The one-year warranty will be voided if any repair, disassembly, or alterations are made without Bates Corporation approval. Customers are responsible for the cost of the replacement part, which will be credited once the defective part is returned and inspected by Bates Corporation personnel.
Limitation of Remedies
Bates Corporation is not responsible for:
- Damages to other parts or machinery
- Labor or repair costs
- Any other claims
Remedies are limited to the price of the part sold by Bates Corporation.
Return & Core Exchange Policy
Warranty Returns
All warranty or incorrect parts returns must be authorized by Bates Corporation and accompanied by a copy of the original invoice to receive credit. Credit for customer shipping costs will only be issued for valid warranty claims. Warranty returns are not accepted after 12 months from the date of purchase.
Core Returns
Cores are used parts returned for credit when purchasing rebuildable parts. Some new, used, and remanufactured products may include a core charge. Core charges help keep prices low, recycle parts, and ensure product availability for future customers.
Core returns must include the customer’s name, address, phone number, and a copy of the invoice. All cores must be shipped prepaid by the customer.
Restocking fees apply as follows:
- Returns after 90 days: 15% restocking fee
- Returns after 180 days: 30% restocking fee
Core return requirements:
- Cores must be drained of all fluids
- Cores must be the exact part purchased
- Cores must be complete, assembled, unmodified, and in rebuildable condition
- Cores must be returned in the original packaging of the purchased part
Once accepted, cores become generic for rebuilding and cannot be returned to a customer. Shipping charges for core returns are the responsibility of the customer and are non-refundable.
Other Returns
All other returns must be authorized by Bates Corporation and accompanied by a copy of the original invoice to receive credit. Returns must be shipped prepaid by the customer. Returns may be subject to a 15% restocking fee. Returns are not accepted after 365 days from the original purchase date.
